Step | Action | YES | NO |
---|---|---|---|
1 |
Check A/C condenser fan operation
Is A/C condenser fan started when A/C and blower fan switch turned ON while engine running?
|
A/C condenser fan control system is in good condition.
|
Go to Step 2.
|
2 |
Fuse check
1)
Turn ignition switch OFF.
2)
Check for fuse blown at “A/C” fuse in relay box.
Is “A/C” fuse in good condition?
|
Go to Step 3.
|
Replace “A/C” fuse and check for short.
|
3 |
Check wire harness
1)
Disconnect A/C condenser fan connector.
2)
With engine running, check voltage between “RED/BLU” wire terminal of A/C condenser fan connector and vehicle body ground when A/C and blower fan switch turned ON.
Is voltage 10 – 14 V?
|
“BLK” wire circuit open. If wire is OK, check A/C condenser fan motor referring to
Condenser Cooling Fan Assembly On-Vehicle Inspection (M13A Model)
.
|
Go to Step 4.
|
4 |
Check A/C condenser fan relay circuit
1)
Remove A/C condenser fan relay from relay box.
2)
Turn ignition switch ON, check voltage between “LT GRN” and “RED” wire terminal of A/C condenser fan relay connector and vehicle body ground.
Is voltage 10 – 14 V?
|
Go to Step 5.
|
“LT GRN” or “RED” wire circuit open.
|
5 |
Check A/C condenser fan control signal
1)
Install A/C condenser fan relay to relay box with ignition switch OFF.
2)
Turn ignition switch ON, check voltage between “E114-18” terminal of ECM connector and vehicle body ground.
Is voltage 10 – 14 V?
|
Go to Step 6.
|
“PNK/BLK” wire open or short.
|
6 |
Check A/C condenser fan control signal
1)
Disconnect ECM connector with ignition switch OFF.
2)
Using service wire, ground “E114-18” terminal of ECM connector.
3)
Turn ignition switch ON.
Does A/C condenser fan operate?
|
Substitute a known-good ECM and recheck.
|
Go to Step 7.
|
7 |
1)
Check A/C condenser fan relay referring to
Main Relay, Fuel Pump Relay, A/C Compressor Relay and A/C Condenser Fan Control Relay Inspection:M13A
.
Is it in good condition?
|
“RED/BLU” wire in open or high resistance circuit.
|
Replace A/C condenser fan relay.
