Step | Action | YES | NO |
---|---|---|---|
1 |
1)
Ignition switch OFF.
2)
Disconnect driver air bag (inflator) module connector, passenger air bag (inflator) module connector, driver pretensioner module connector, and passenger pretensioner module connector.
3)
Disconnect forward sensor connector.
4)
Check proper connection to forward sensor connector at “RED” and “BLU” terminals.
Is resistance 738 – 902 Ω?
|
Go to Step 2.
|
Replace forward sensor.
|
2 |
1)
Reconnect forward sensor connector.
2)
Disconnect SDM connector “G102”.
3)
Check proper connection to SDM connector at terminals “G102-1” and “G102-13”.
4)
If OK, then measure resistance between terminals “G102-1” and “G102-13”.
Is resistance 738 – 902 Ω?
|
Go to Step 3.
|
Repair high resistance or open in “RED” and “BLU” wire circuit (between forward sensor and SDM).
|
3 |
1)
Disconnect forward sensor connector.
2)
Measure voltage from “G102-1” terminal to body ground and “G102-13” terminal to body ground.
With ignition switch ON, are they 1 V or less?
|
Substitute a known-good SDM and recheck.
|
Repair short from “RED” or “BLU” wire circuit (between forward sensor and SDM) to power circuit.
