Extension Case Oil Seal Replacement Removal and Installation
Removal
1) Lift up vehicle and drain automatic transmission fluid.
2) Remove following part.
• Exhaust pipe (refer to Exhaust Pipe Removal and Installation:M13A )
• Propeller shaft No.1 (refer to Propeller Shaft Removal and Installation )
3) With transmission held up on jack, remove engine rear mounting bracket (1).
4) Remove extension case oil seal using flat end rod or like.
Installation
1) Apply grease to new extension case oil seal lip.
: Grease 99000–25030 ( SUZUKI Super Grease C )
2) Install new extension case oil seal (1) using special tools.
NOTE:
For oil seal installation, press-fit oil seal so that transmission case end face is flush with oil seal end face.
Special Tool
(A) : 09913–84510
(B) : 09926–26020
3) Install engine rear mounting bracket.
Tightening torque
Engine rear mounting bracket bolt ( a ): 25 N·m ( 2.5 kg-m, 18.0 lb-ft)
4) Install following parts.
• Propeller shaft No.1 (refer to Propeller Shaft Removal and Installation )
• Exhaust pipe (refer to Exhaust Pipe Removal and Installation:M13A )
5) Pour A/T fluid referring to A/T Fluid Change .
