Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
Is circuit fuse for ABS power source in good condition?

Go to Step 3.
|
Replace fuse and check for short circuit to ground.

1)
Disconnect ABS hydraulic unit / control module connector.
2)
Check for proper connection to ABS hydraulic unit / control module connector at terminals “E142-25”, “E142-15”, “E142-2” and “E142-4”.
3)
If OK then turn ignition switch to ON position and measure voltage between terminal “E142-25” and vehicle body ground.
Is it 10 – 14 V?

Go to Step 4.
|
“GRN/ORN” wire circuit open, or high resistance.

1)
Connect ABS hydraulic unit / control module connector.
2)
Check voltage generated by generator, referring to
Generator Test (Overcharged Battery Check):M13A
.
Is check result OK?

Go to Step 5.
|
Repair charging system.
|

1)
Disconnect ABS hydraulic unit / control module connector.
2)
Turn ignition switch to ON and light the “ABS” warning lamp.
3)
Connect terminal “E142-15” of disconnected ABS hydraulic unit / control module connector to vehicle body ground using service wire.
Does “ABS” warning lamp turn off?

Go to Step 6.
|
“RED/BLU” wire circuit open.
If wire and connection are OK, replace combination meter.

1)
Turn ignition switch to OFF and measure resistance between each terminal of “E142-2” and “E142-4” to vehicle body ground.
Is continuity indicated?
|
Substitute a known-good ABS hydraulic unit / control module assembly recheck.
|
“BLK” wire circuit open or high resistance.
|
