“ABS” Warning Lamp Comes ON Steady
Wiring Diagram
Circuit Description
Refer to “Circuit Description” in “ABS” Warning Lamp Does Not Come ON at Ignition Switch ON .
Troubleshooting
Step Action YES NO
1
1) Perform DTC check.
Is there any DTC?
Go to Step 7 of ABS Check .
Go to Step 2.
2
1) Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
Is circuit fuse for ABS power source in good condition?
Go to Step 3.
Replace fuse and check for short circuit to ground.
3
1) Disconnect ABS hydraulic unit / control module connector.
2) Check for proper connection to ABS hydraulic unit / control module connector at terminals “E142-25”, “E142-15”, “E142-2” and “E142-4”.
3) If OK then turn ignition switch to ON position and measure voltage between terminal “E142-25” and vehicle body ground.
Is it 10 – 14 V?
Go to Step 4.
“GRN/ORN” wire circuit open, or high resistance.
4
1) Connect ABS hydraulic unit / control module connector.
2) Check voltage generated by generator, referring to Generator Test (Overcharged Battery Check):M13A .
Is check result OK?
Go to Step 5.
Repair charging system.
5
1) Disconnect ABS hydraulic unit / control module connector.
2) Turn ignition switch to ON and light the “ABS” warning lamp.
3) Connect terminal “E142-15” of disconnected ABS hydraulic unit / control module connector to vehicle body ground using service wire.
Does “ABS” warning lamp turn off?
Go to Step 6.
“RED/BLU” wire circuit open.
If wire and connection are OK, replace combination meter.
6
1) Turn ignition switch to OFF and measure resistance between each terminal of “E142-2” and “E142-4” to vehicle body ground.
Is continuity indicated?
Substitute a known-good ABS hydraulic unit / control module assembly recheck.
“BLK” wire circuit open or high resistance.
