DTC Detecting Condition and Trouble Area

65: Vacuum Switch Circuit Short
Monitor signal of vacuum switch is ON for specified time even if monitor signal of VSV2 is OFF. |

DTC Confirmation Procedure
1)
Turn ignition switch to ON position for 1 minutes.

Vacuum switch check
1)
Check vacuum switch.
Is it in good condition?

Go to Step 2.

Replace vacuum switch.

Check vacuum switch signal circuit
1)
Disconnect 4WD control module connector with ignition switch OFF.
2)
Check vacuum switch signal circuit (“GRY” wire) for short to ground.
Is it in good condition?

Check VSV2 referring to
VSV1 and VSV2 Inspection:Front
.
If OK, substitute a known-good 4WD control module and recheck. |
•
Repair or replace vacuum switch signal circuit.
