48: A/T shift switch (“N” range) Circuit Short
Monitor signal of A/T shift switch (“N” range) is ON for specified time at driving.
• A/T shift switch (“N” range) and/or its circuit
• 4WD control module

DTC Confirmation Procedure
1) While keeping engine speed continuously at 3,000 rpm or more, drive for 1 minutes or more at drive 30 km/h (19 mile/h) or more.

1) Check A/T shift switch (“N” range). icon 
Is it in good condition?
Go to Step 2.
• Replace A/T shift switch.

Check A/T shift switch (“N” range) signal circuit
1) Disconnect 4WD control module connector with ignition switch OFF.
2) Check A/T shift switch (“N” range) signal circuit (“ORN” wire) for short to power circuit.
Is it in good condition?
• Substitute a known-good 4WD control module and recheck.
• Repair or replace A/T shift switch (“N” range) signal circuits.
