DTC Troubleshooting
Step Action YES NO
1
4WD control module power supply circuit check
1) Disconnect 4WD control module connector with ignition switch OFF.
2) Measure voltage between “YEL/RED” wire terminal of 4WD control module connector and vehicle body ground with ignition switch turned ON.
Is voltage 10 – 14 V?
Substitute a known-good 4WD control module and recheck.
Go to Step 2.
2
“4WD” fuse check
1) Check “4WD” fuse.
Is it in good condition?
Go to Step 3.
Check 4WD control module power supply circuit (“YEL/RED” wire) for short to ground. If OK, replace “4WD” fuse.
3
4WD control module power supply circuit check
1) Check 4WD control module power supply circuit (“BLK/RED” wire) for open.
Is it in good condition?
Faulty of battery or charging system.
Repair or replace 4WD control module power supply circuit.
