DTC Detecting Condition and Trouble Area

Monitor signal of “4WD” switch is ON for specified time. |

DTC Confirmation Procedure
1)
Turn ignition switch to ON position for 2 minutes.
DTC Troubleshooting

1)
Check “2WD” switch.
Is it in good condition?
|
Go to Step 2.
|
Replace 2WD/4WD switch.
|

Check “2WD” switch signal circuit
1)
Disconnect 4WD control module connector with ignition switch OFF.
2)
Check “2WD” switch signal circuit (“BLU/BLK” wire) for short to ground.
Is it in good condition?
|
Substitute a known-good 4WD control module and recheck.
|
Repair or replace “2WD” switch signal circuit.

Go to Step 2.

Replace 2WD/4WD switch.

Check “4WD” switch signal circuit (“BLU/YEL” wire) for short to ground.
Is it in good condition?

Substitute a known-good 4WD control module and recheck.

Repair or replace “4WD” switch signal circuit.

Check “4WD-L” switch.

Go to Step 2.

Replace 2WD/4WD switch.

2)
Check “4WD-L” switch signal circuit (“BLU” wire) for short to ground.
Is it in good condition?
